HR Wallingford approved code of practice for siphonic drainage

Many in the construction industry do not know that there are no standards or performance requirements for siphonic drainage systems in the Great Britain. This project, which includes key representatives from consultants, researchers and manufacturers, seeks to develop a code of practice that will be adopted by BSI as the new British Standards.

After energy, water is our most precious resource. Water research is the next most important issue. This project is examining the ways in which water usage can be cut in housing and how that is likely to affect the construction industry in terms of layouts, house plans, pipe work designs and appliances.
