3 Assembly Square, Cardiff BayScott Brownrigg was appointed by The Cardiff Bay Partnership to carry out architectural and interior design services for 3 Assembly Square, a 66,250 sq ft building, located adjacent to the National Assembly for Wales’ Senedd building. As Wales’ largest eco-friendly speculative office development, it forms part of The Cardiff Waterside estate. 3 Assembly Square was designed by Scott Brownrigg in conjunction with Arup with environmental sustainability in mind and achieved a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’ six months ahead of completion. Incorporating state-of-the-art technologies and systems, including a biomass boiler, multi-service active chilled beams, enhanced insulation and rainwater harvesting. The building design is highly innovative with timber panels integrated into the curtain walling, feature glazing and a full height atrium with feature staircase and lifts designed to provide panoramic views across Cardiff Bay.
