Defence Training Review

As part of the Metrix Consortium, Scott Brownrigg has been working on the largest PPP project in the UK to date to rationalise training for the Armed Forces in a project with construction values approaching £1 billion, and representing the single largest investment in Wales.

A new Defence Technical College at RAF St Athan, Wales would act as the centre for deliver tri-service training in the UK.

The project comprises training facilities in engineering and information systems and logistics, administration, policing and security, languages, intelligence and photography.  It includes new accommodation, messes, classrooms, workshops, lecture theatres, museums and offices to serve a population of over 11,000.

Comprehensive sports and leisure facilities together with supporting dining, shopping and medical facilities complement the total development.
