Brooklands College

Having completed an Integrated Technology Centre for Brooklands College, Scott Brownrigg was appointed to carry out architectural and interior design services for the college's Weybridge and Ashford campuses.

The design concepts, which incorporated innovative ideas from the our education and business space teams, maximise efficiency and create a distinct identity for the college.

At Ashford, the first phase of the redevelopment was to involve the demolition of 50% of the existing building stock and the construction of a state-of-the-art Main Learning Building, a new courtyard garden and a major new civic space on the high street.  A colonnade below the Learning Resource Centre would enable members of the public to ‘walk-through’ the college without actually entering the building.

The interior was designed in detailed consultation with the college and students, culminating in a holistic approach that integrates with and enhances the architectural composition.

Due to changes to the Learning Skills Council funding allocation, the project is on hold.
