South Thames College

Scott Brownrigg’s architects, interior designers and town planners were appointed to this £70m new build and listed building refurbishment for the Wandsworth campus of South Thames College.  The phased project took place whilst the college remained in operation.  The new development is sited within a conservation area and occupies a tightly constrained site. Scott Brownrigg’s planning team assisted the discharge of the associated listed building, conservation area and planning conditions.

The new building cvonstructed as phase 1 includes a social café area, Learning Resource Centre (LRC), basement sports hall, training beauty salons and specialist recording and studio spaces.

Phase 2 included the renovation and refurbishment of the listed building, which dates from 1926.  A key part of the design of was is to sensitively unify the old and new buildings.  It now houses a theatre, student services and general classroom and administration facilities.

Scott Brownrigg Interior design worked with the architectural team to provide full FF&E for both phases of the project.
