Brightwells House, FarnhamThe Grade II listed Brightwells House, originating from the 1790’s, has fallen into serious disrepair. Scott Brownrigg have submitted detailed Planning and Listed Building Consent applications to convert the building into two restaurant units; one confined entirely within the old building, and one within an unashamedly ‘modern’ transparent extension which replaces the disused 1970’s extension. Internally, the conservation approach adopted by Scott Brownrigg will ensure the sensitive refurbishment of historic fabric and the reinstatement of many lost features; including the original stair, historic fireplaces and original chimneys. The much loved and rejuvenated Brightwell’s House will form the focal point of the wider East Street Farnham regeneration scheme, also by Scott Brownrigg.
