Sir Giles Gilbert Scott Building, Whitelands Park, Putney

Designed by the eminent Architect, Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in 1928 for Whitelands College in Putney, the substantial Grade II listed main college building dominates the 13.2 acre tiered site as a single unified building, formally and symmetrically planned with a distinct south European influence.

Following consultations with English Heritage and the Conservation Officer, Scott Brownrigg gained Planning Permission, Listed Building Consent and Conservation Area Consent to convert the main college building to 100 luxury apartments, as part of the wider regeneration of the Whitelands Park site.

The proposed conservation approach in converting the building was to retain, restore and refurbish fabric which is of historic importance and to offer enhancements by re-instating original features where possible.
