Amathus Beach Hotel, LimassolScott Brownrigg is responsible for the re-brand of this Walter Gropius designed 5 star hotel, known as the ‘Grand Hotel of Cyprus’. Our starting point was to rejuvenate the building in a style in keeping with its original 1960s era has been lost as a result of more recent refurbishments, along with the original architectural elements of the building. The new hotel reveals the imposing concrete structural frame, as originally intended, and particularly the cathedral-like lounge space with its original 60s chandeliers. This is juxtaposed with striking retro and contemporary finishes and furniture. The extensive refurbishment includes the reception area, lobby, an arcade of boutiques, the Dionisos Bar, the Ambrosia Restaurant and La Rotisserie Restaurant.
