Resort Development, Istria, CroatiaScott Brownrigg’s architects and interior designers are working holistically in order to lift the tired appearance of five existing hotels and a large portfolio of apartments on the Istrian peninsula in Croatia, re-branding three resorts to bring them to world-class standard. Two hotels are being linked with a lightweight glass crystalline structure forming a crisp and bright reception area, inspired by limestone crystals. At the heart of the lobby are pebble desks, inspired by the bleached limestone which adorns the local beaches. The back-drop to the reception desk is a dynamic steel sculpture that wraps around a translucent dichroic glass office. Hotel rooms and suites have a pure white base enhanced with bursts of bright, energetic colour which refer to the fresh organic fruits grown across the Istrian Peninsula.
