Surrey County CouncilThe studies for Surrey County Council included a proposal for relocating County Hall from Kingston to elsewhere within the county. Proposals were made for sites in Guildford, Woking, Dorking and Addlestone. Proposals sought to deliver excellent value through providing an adaptable, high quality working environment that would assist in attracting and retaining staff. The internal design of the new County Hall provided multi-use spaces, housing the council chamber and committee rooms, which would be easily adaptable for use by the community and associated council departments, thus maximising their utilisation.
