Newham Building Schools for the FutureFollowing Laing O’Rourke's success in being selected as preferred bidder for the development of four secondary schools in the London Borough of Newham, Scott Brownrigg was retained to prepare and submit four detailed planning applications in March/April 2008, three were submitted a fortnight after selection as preferred bidder, the fourth within three weeks to meet the Newham BSF target date. Scott Brownrigg Planning co-ordinated the applications with the planning officers, the client (consortium Newham Learning Partnership) and the wider consultant team. Though liaison with the planning officers, and rapid response to queries raised, the applications were reported to committee less than 10 weeks after submission and permission granted for all four schools.
