St Bartholomews School, Newbury

Scott Brownrigg secured planning permission for major new buildings for a secondary school in Newbury.  The school has been in existence since 1466 and much of its history is still visible on the site.  The proposal consolidates the school from two sites into one and releases the surplus older school buildings for sale.

The team prepared and negotiated planning permission for a replacement building, floodlit MUGA and STP, parking and landscaping on existing playing fields.   In addition, the team managed the process to ensure all required accompanying assessments and reports were prepared and submitted with the application, that the strategy and the application documents minimised the risk of legal challenge.  Permission was achieved in 13 weeks from submission.
