Earlsfield StationScott Brownrigg successfully defended proposals at planning appeal for the mixed-use redevelopment of a prominent site located close to the centre of Earlsfield in the London Borough of Wandsworth. The site benefited from a planning approval for a four-storey building, however an alternative scheme for an additional fifth floor was pursued but refused planning permission and then dismissed by the Planning Inspectorate. Scott Brownrigg was able to advise the client and their architects on the amendments required to overcome the concerns of the Planning Inspectorate. The LPA did not wish to enter into any negotiations on the revised application and it was subsequently refused. However, the work undertaken at design stage and the robust evidence presented to the Planning Inspectorate ensured that a subsequent appeal was allowed ensuring that the project was financially viable.
