Eden House, Spital Square
Eden House is part of the Spitalfields Market Development Area, occupying a corner site of 0.3 hectares. Scott Brownrigg designed and achieved planning permission and conservation area consent for for a 6,800 sq m, five storey office building. The scheme involved extensive pre-application and post-submission discussions on issues including rights of light, sunlight and daylight, archaeology and impact on the Central Line. The design, materials and massing of the new Eden House building combine to respond to the nature of the particular streetscape each elevation addresses.
