Napier Court, ReadingNapier Court is a narrow, linear site that runs parallel with the Great Western Railway in the centre of Reading. The site is subject to a number of constraints being partly located within flood zone 3a and also its close proximity to the railway line. However, it is highly sustainable being located in very close proximity to Reading Station transport interchange and the numerous facilities, services and job opportunities located in the town centre. Scott Brownrigg Planning acted on behalf of RO Developments to promote the site for residential-led, mixed use development. The site was promoted as an Opportunity Site within the Reading Central Area Action Plan (RCAAP), a Development Plan Document forming part of Reading’s emerging Local Development Framework. The team also represented the client at the RCAAP Examination in Public, responding to specific policy points and queries raised by the Inspector and further promoting the site for inclusion as an Opportunity Site within the RCAAP.
