Spurstowe Terrace, HackneyScott Brownrigg Planning was appointed by Land Securities Trillium to prepare, submit and manage an outline planning application. Outline permission was sought in order to redevelop the site to provide 34 units following the demolition of the 1930s employment exchange. Scott Brownrigg Planning worked closely with the local London Borough of Hackney in order to meet the planning policy and regeneration objectives of the council, whilst meeting the development requirements of the client. Quality of design and justification of the design strategy were significant planning issues due to the site being adjacent to the Graham Road and Mapledene Conservation Area. Scott Brownrigg authored the supporting documents to accompany the application including the planning statement and Sustainability Statement.
