De Lisle Golf Course and Hotel

The outline planning application is the De Lisle Golf Academy and Hotel Development in Shepshed, Leicestershire to provide hotel and sporting facilities which include: a 4-star 400 bedroom hotel; a conference/exhibition centre; two golf courses;   a golf club and academy.

Scott Brownrigg undertook the management and co-ordination of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Statement (ES) and authored a number of ES chapters providing guidance and advice to the specialist consultants to carry out the technical assessments.
 
The sustainability objectives integrated into the design included:

• conservation of energy, materials, water and other resources;
• use of passive and natural systems both within and around the building;
• minimising impacts of noise, pollution, flooding and micro-climatic effects;
• integrated secure by design features;
• natural environment and biodiversity conservation; and
• renewable energy technology.
