Hatfield AerodromeScott Brownrigg, acting on behalf of Goodman International Limited, prepared the original masterplan for the 800 acre Hatfield Aerodrome site. The planning team submitted the outline application for a mixed-use development comprising over 1,000 new dwellings, refurbishment of listed buildings, a new district centre, central park open space, re-use of the green belt land, new schools and community facilities as well as some 190,000 sq m of employment floorspace and provision for a new university campus. The application followed an extensive public consultation exercise, including an exhibition held in Hatfield town centre on the proposals. This led to the preparation and adoption by the Council of Supplementary Planning Guidance for the site. Since then, Scott Brownrigg’s planning team has continued to provide strategic advice, relating to the planning of a number of developments and facilities across the site.
