Langdon Park, Docklands Light Railway Station

Building upon Design Research Unit's extensive Docklands Light Railway (DLR) station experience this commission required detailed design through to completion of a new DLR station on existing trackwork with a new public overbridge and connections with the surrounding neighbourhoods.  Situated between All Saints and Devons Road stations on the DLR route to Stratford, the £7.5m station has been jointly funded by the government’s Community Infrastructure Fund and Leaside Regeneration, in recognition of the huge benefits it will bring to the local area and communities.

The completed landmark station  was opened by the Mayor of London in December 2007 and won the British Construction Industry Regeneration Award in October 2008.  (Images courtesy of Giffords)
