Gravesend Canal Basin

Industrial buildings, warehousing and construction material depots currently occupy the 12.8 hectare site located at the intersection of the River Thames and the Medway Canal. Scott Brownrigg's masterplan aims to create a new urban quarter with its own contemporary architecture and character. At the heart of scheme, the Canal Basin will be refurbished for recreation and tourism, providing a high quality, accessible and enticing focus for the progressive redevelopment of the industrial area that fronts the River Thames east of Gravesend.
