Harold Wood, London

The Harold Wood development is in a sustainable location that promotes the use of bus and cycle instead of travel by car.  All dwellings aredesigned to Code Level 3 and will use 20% renewables in the form of a wood chip CHP Plant.  The development incorporates the conversion of a Grade II listed building into 15 flats which will be surrounded by 859 new dwellings.  Well defined streets, mews and squares are linked together by a central avenue in a traditional street pattern which offers generous public open spaces and clear wayfinding views and vistas.  Car parking is largely hidden away under landscaped decks and between dwellings.
