Jonathan Hill


As Chairman, Jonathan provides governance for the company and for the board of Scott Brownrigg. He sits on the Strategic Board and is responsible for ensuring that the practice continually evolves and is capable of meeting and exceeding client expectations. Jonathan also has board responsibility for the practice’s Singapore office as well as the aviation and advanced technologies sectors.

As an architect trained at The University of Nottingham and The Welsh School of Architecture at Cardiff University, he is design focused and contributes holistically to projects with his extensive knowledge and experience. He is interested in all aspects of design throughout the process and is particularly involved in projects at the earlier stages. 

Jonathan has been involved in a number of the practice’s largest projects but is fascinated by all proposals that offer an opportunity to deliver quality design. Key projects include: masterplanning at Longcross and Thames Valley Science Park, mixed use regeneration at Farnham and business space schemes such as ARM at Cambridge, BAE Systems in Luton and Building 101 at Cambridge Science Park. His work in other sectors includes education schemes such as the University of Reading Malaysia, residential masterplanning on five sites near Reading including Bulmershe and defence projects at Northwood and Project Allenby/Connaught. Jonathan has a wide range of experience in both private and public sectors. 

He is also a judge in the Thames Valley Property Forum Awards in the business parks and workplace categories.
