Scott Brownrigg provides specialist expertise as integral or additional services on projects across all major sectors and across all disciplines.  

The Practice’s experienced architects and technologists have specialisms in CDM, Inclusive Design, Sustainable Design, detail design, design delivery and BIM and provide practical and creative solutions to technical challenges on all projects.

Principal Designer and CDM

With a long history of delivering CDM requirements and services as an integral part of projects, the Practice can assist clients to achieve cost and risk certainty, advise on CDM compliance, and deliver the role of Principal Designer- alongside and integrated with all Design services. 

 Scott Brownrigg authored the RIBA publication ‘CDM 2015 - A Practical Guide for Architects and Designers’ which has become one of the construction industries main reference books for understanding and delivering the CDM Regulations 2015.

Low Energy and Environmental Design

Sustainable design is at the heart of the Practice and is embedded through its ISO14001 Environmental Management System Accreditation. Technical staff in all of Scott Brownrigg’s global studios have expertise and experience including Passivhaus, BREEAM (New Construction, In-Use, Refurbishment and Fit-out categories) and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). 

BIM Services

Fully committed to supporting clients in the BIM process, Scott Brownrigg can provide extensive guidance to clients and project teams and adopt a unified and collaborative approach. Scott Brownrigg can also provide the role of Information Manager.

Scott Brownrigg was an early adopter of CAD technologies in the UK. Embracing BIM is business as usual and part of the Practice’s commitment to technology, innovation and continual improvement. The Practice is currently progressing towards BIM Level 2 certification.

Industry Engagement

Scott Brownrigg is a member and active contributor to a number of industry-wide organisations and committees including: RIBA, RIAS, RSAW, SIA, APS, BRE, BRAC, BSI, CIBSE, CIC, CWCT, DBP, DIOHAS, DCLG, NBS, and the Wren Technical Forum.
