Park Plaza shortlisted at the Mixology17 Awards

Scott Brownrigg Interior Design’s fit-out for Park Plaza Nuremburg has successfully been shortlisted at the Mixology17 Awards for Hospitality Interiors Project of the Year category. With over 20% more entries this year it is a wonderful achievement for the Scott Brownrigg team.

The Mix Interiors Awards are unique and judged by an independent panel of experienced architects, designers, creatives and consultants, the Awards concentrate entirely on the commercial interiors market (office, hospitality, public sector, education).  This blend of relevance, independence and focus is why the Mix Interiors Awards are deemed the best in the industry.

The Interior Design team created the dynamic interior design concept for client PPHE Hotel Group within the iconic building located within the centre of Nuremberg. The design is inspired by Nuremberg’s most famous citizens such as Albrecht Dürer, the famous renaissance painter, mathematician and theorist, and Martin Behaim, famous for his creation of the world's oldest surviving globe. It captures the true essence of hospitality in the 21st century, with geometric shapes and textures, light features, ceilings and furniture design all combining to provide a relaxed yet luxurious atmosphere.

The Scott Brownrigg Interiors team delivered the scheme for the former Bavarian-American Hotel in Nuremberg, now the Park Plaza, in a design that drew on the history of the former hotel and the city’s rich cultural and medieval history. Teaming lighting, furniture, artwork and sculpture in its design, the practice has created a relaxed and luxurious atmosphere, while also respecting the Thirties’ building and its links to the USA.

The winners will be announced at the prestigious black tie award ceremony on 22nd June at Old Billingsgate, London.
