Scott Brownrigg Interior Design completes stylish fit-out for Russian Financial Services Provider

Scott Brownrigg has designed a contemporary office floor fit out for Russian financial services provider Otkritie Securities Limited. Located in the City of London, Otkritie Securities Limited is the UK-based subsidiary of Otkritie Financial Corporation, one of the leading financial services providers in Russia.

The building features large diagonal bracings that span over several floors on two of the external faces and are clearly visible from the inside. The stunning north and south views over the City of London also helped determine the design layout.

The reception and 12 person boardroom is located adjacent to the lift lobby and provides impressive views over the Barbican.  Not to detract from this magnificent view, the minimal design for the reception uses clean, strong lines and muted colours. In reference to the diagonal architectural bracings visible from the reception, Scott Brownrigg has used several diagonal seamless slot lights in the ceiling which run down the abutting walls.

The trading floor, also visible from the reception provides space efficiency with a reduced workstation footprint and the relocation of PC’s into a central communications room.  This has allowed traders to experience a greater personal work space, whilst also reducing the cooling requirements of the floor and thereby enhancing the buildings environmental credentials.

The additional design feature for the trading floor is the outside terrace, which increases breakout and entertainment space on warmer days and provides an illuminated dining and lounge area in the evenings.

The ethos of the scheme was to use contrasting materials juxtaposed with strong design lines.

Howard Snell, Executive Chairman of Otkritie Securities Limited, said “Many visitors have commented that it is the most remarkable office they have visited” which is a strong accolade to the design in a relatively small footprint of space.

The office is a spring board for further expansion to a wider market and one they are proud to call their London HQ.
