Scott Brownrigg Planning successfully secures planning permission for New Bond Street premises
Scott Brownrigg Planning has successfully secured planning permission at appeal for the redevelopment of an existing public house for mixed use development.
The appeal was required following the City of Westminster Council's refusal to grant permission on the grounds of loss of use of the existing public house, and the impact on the Conservation Area. The Council considered these to be matters of principle that it was not prepared to negotiate on.
However, not only were both reasons for refusal successfully overturned at appeal, but Scott Brownrigg also managed to secure a full award of costs against the Council on behalf of our clients.
The proposals will provide an A1 shop unit at ground floor, B1 offices on the first and second floors and C3 residential on the third floor. The public house use has now ceased and work is due to commence imminently.
