Scott Brownrigg sponsors 'A Vision for the Future of Cardiff Bay' Conference

On the 30 and 31 May, Scott Brownrigg sponsored the ‘Giving the Past a Future, Giving the Future a Past – A Vision for the Future of Cardiff Bay’ conference, which formed part of the programme to mark the Volvo Ocean Race stopover in Cardiff.

Held in the Exchange Hotel, the two-day conference opened with a speech from the Leader of Cardiff Council, Huw Thomas. The first day of the conference explored the heritage and preservation of Cardiff Bay. The second day looked to the future, exploring the opportunities and challenges for the Bay’s development, within the context of the city’s wider vision for the City and its waterfront. During the day Board Director, Neil MacOmish presented on the ‘The importance of Quality Design and Architecture’ in the Re-Thinking the Way Forward session.

On the evening of the 30th, Scott Brownrigg sponsored the conference dinner with 50 key attendees from Welsh Government, Cardiff Council, Volvo Ocean Race, the built environment and Cardiff and Swansea Universities.

Both events provided an excellent platform to raise Scott Brownrigg’s profile amongst key decision makers in Wales and align the Practice with this incredible race.
