Scott Brownrigg to take part in RIBA Regent Street Windows Project
Scott Brownrigg is one of 10 architects taking part in this year's RIBA window installation project, with the Regent Street Association and media partner Elle Decoration.
The street wide open air exhibition fuses architecture and unique retail design to create striking displays using 'Cities of Tomorrow' as a core theme.
Director of RIBA London Tamsie Thomson said: “Our members are always keen to take their work to new places, and this project showcases how collaborative working can add value across sectors and in unexpected sites.”
Scott Brownrigg is teaming up with fashion retailer, UNIQLO, to create an innovative window installation that combines the 'Cities of Tomorrow' theme, with the UNIQLO product collection UV Cut. UV Cut is a newly developed product from UNIQLO, which helps support sun protection in the summer months. UV-blocking capabilities have been added to the fibres of the UV Cut collection to help protect the skin from ultraviolet rays.
Hoare Lea Lighting and Erco Lighting Limited are supporting Scott Brownriggs installation, providing all lighting and light fittings.
The public exhibition runs from 9-29 May 2011.
