3 Down Street Mews, London
Adjacent to Green Park, within the Mayfair Conservation Area, the proposal redevelops a former Cavalry & Guards Club, to deliver two new private contemporary residences of 700 sq m (7,535 sq ft) and 830 sq m (8,935 sq ft). The design incorporates three basements levels containing a gym, swimming pool and an automated parking system. The design has been applauded by Westminster City Council’s Planning Committee for it’s architecture and sustainability credentials, which include a double skin glass façade, green roof, ground source heat pumps and generous floor to ceiling heights. The development is likely to be one of the first, if only, Level 4, Code for Sustainable Homes projects in Westminster. The planning team also acted as agents and advised on policy issues on behalf of the client.
