Adjacent to Chelsea Bridge and the iconic Battersea Power Station, phases one to five of this scheme have already been delivered and comprise 1,126 luxury and affordable apartments, 5,575 sq m (60,000 sq ft) of office and retail space, a new health and fitness club and Wandsworth's first four star hotel. The development has been designed in accordance with Lifetime Homes, EcoHomes (now Code for Sustainable Homes) and BREEAM, and has won a host of awards including Best Social Housing Award, Best Planning Built Project, Best Interior Design Award, Best Landscaped Development and has achieved a CABE Building for Life standard. A phased planning application strategy enabled signifcant uplift to the number of residential units permitted on site. Permisison for phase five was secured on appeal at public inquiry where Scott Brownrigg provided both planning and design expert witnesses. The development continues to set standards of excellence within the industry.
