London Business School, Regents Park
London Business School
Addressing the issues of capacity, future growth and the provision of an iconic, inspirational building with an auditorium at its heart, our scheme identified ‘soft spots’; exposed circulation connection points, positioned back to back with the Nash and Regency terraces. Linked to form a three-storey, waving bridge link, these accommodate all the new teaching facilities. The ground level space, articulated only with changes in level and the enclosure derived from the bridge above, become a ‘networking surface’ where people meet, eat, relax and can come together as a community. At the point where the terraces and wave converge, a double height, negative space is cut away from the terraces to form the new entrance and connect the street, campus and park and disparate spaces.
