Crest Regeneration and Aviva
The design for this 40 hectare development in the Green Belt delivers a masterplan for a highly sustainable, mixed use community comprising the next generation of business park, new housing and ancillary facilities including; retail, fitness, a crèche, coffee shops and restaurants, together with improved rail station facilities, amenity space and high quality public realm. The commercial buildings allow flexibility for future development to meet specific occupier needs and market requirements by utilising buildings orientated so that their entrances face a linear, attractive landscaped pedestrianised street that is punctuated by spaces that create zones for activity. The arrival boulevard, village square, tennis courts, village green and extensive areas of informal and formal open spaces provide an attractive setting for the development, superb spaces and generous recreational areas. The contemporary housing is nestled in pockets with an existing woodland backdrop. This masterplan has successfully created attractive places and spaces which will provide a framework for development that will stand the test of time, whilst complying with the constraints of building on previously developed sites on brownfield land in the Green Belt.
