Appointed to carry out the masterplanning for this new, distinctive urban development that will front the A33, off junction 11 of the M4, leading into Reading town centre. This co-ordinated masterplan provides a unified concept that embraces the different districts of Reading which, when combined, present a holistic mixed use development, extending existing residential communities and creating new urban business districts. Underpinning the scheme is a new transport infrastructure route, with a Mass Rapid Transport system, that will link with Reading town centre and a new rail station at Green Park. An urban design-led and commercially balanced layout, successfully integrates 1000 + dwellings around a mixed use centre of community facilities, that include a three star 200 bedroom hotel, a retail store, public house, health and fitness centre, private hospital and supporting business suites. This links to an extensive urban commercial campus, with hardscaped streets, bold four and eigh-storey buildings, and cutting edge distinctive public realm environments via a dramatic bridge which crosses the A33.
