Associate Felicity Meares makes RIBA Rising Stars shortlist 2019

Scott Brownrigg Associate Felicity Meares joins fifteen talented professionals who have made it through to the shortlist of RIBA Rising Stars. The list selects young architects who show their energy and expertise in a wide range of areas. Shortlisted by the RIBA Journal, she has been lauded as “[a] Change-maker who is co-opting digital technology” [Eleanor Young, RIBA Journal].

RIBA Rising Stars, are selected from a strong field by a panel of judges from across the industry: Peter Morris, founding partner and managing director, AHMM, Kieren Majhail, Rising Star 2018 and architect associate, BDP; Sarah Prichard, UK managing director, Buro Happold; Simon Henley, principal, Henley Halebrown; Louise Wyman, director of design and development, West Midlands Combined Authority; and the RIBA Journal’s Eleanor Young.

Promoted to Associate in 2019, Felicity has recently been the project lead and technical Architect on a complex, forward thinking project that utilizes many advancements in technology focusing on enhancing the user experience through Virtual Reality, parametric modelling and the most advanced flooring system in the world.

Felicity is a key contributor to our Future Architects Forum at Scott Brownrigg. She has also delivered seminars to industry peers, most recently speaking on the potential of massive timber construction, and improving access to physical education. Notable speaking recent opportunities have included the Austrian Embassy, London, and the Physical Activities Facilities Forum.
