This week we kicked off our inaugural Future Talent ‘Digital Bootcamp’, providing undergraduate students of architecture the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the digital journey and how to apply digital skills in practice.
The pilot summer programme will cover all aspects of digital architecture – from early, concept parametric modelling, to project delivery using sustainability, BIM and information management tools.
Students began their course with an in-person meet and greet at our Covent Garden studio, where they were introduced to our team, given a tour of our building, and briefed on the two weeks to come.
Over the next week, students will continue learning about the various digital tools via direct and online tutorials delivered by the BIM team and our programme partners before sharing their new-found knowledge and ideas at an in-person demo project charrette presentation and exhibition with our Design Research Unit.
We look forward to seeing what the students will create, and welcoming them back to our studio soon!
