Time to reconnect with nature: timber offices of the future

Scott Brownrigg and Stora Enso invite you to a virtual event exploring the future of the office workspace on Tuesday 23 June from 12.30-13:30pm UK. As part of London Festival of Architecture Digital, we will demonstrate how advanced design techniques are enabling the creation of timber office spaces which can reshape our working lives, pushing sustainability, flexibility and wellbeing to the top of the agenda.

Our future work-life is likely to be dramatically different from the recent past. For many, the experience of living through a global pandemic has brought a fresh awareness of the value of health and nature in our lives. Social distancing rules and the climate crisis are demanding that we think radically about the design and construction of our office buildings.

Through a virtual tour of a brand new office concept, we’ll take our audience on a fascinating journey into the office space of the future, how it can evolve, adapt and adjust to its users over time. This will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A session.

Chaired by Stora Enso’s SVP Communication and Marketing, Cathrine Wallenius, the panel will include:

  • Ed Hayden, Director, Scott Brownrigg
  • Kate Glensman, Associate, Hoare Lea
  • Alan Dowdall, Associate, Ramboll
  • Rory Doak, Business Development Manager, Stora Enso

The London Festival of Architecture is the world’s largest annual architecture festival. Taking place digitally this year, it offers a host of events and activities throughout the month of June.
