Scott Brownrigg have been shortlisted for AJ100 Practice of the Year Award. These prestigious industry awards recognise the most successful architectural practices within the UK.

Practice of the Year is based on business and quality of design output. Looking at the key business data from the main AJ100 survey and employee survey.

By shortlisting Scott Brownrigg for Practice of the Year, the AJ100 have recognised our work in growing our practice in a global and sustainable direction. Our Board have developed a 5 Year Plan that is not only transforming the practice, but is also ensuring that we build a sustainable design-focussed business that embodies the idea of enriching lives through the built environment.

We are pursuing an international growth strategy and now have projects as far afield as New Zealand, China, India, Niger, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Jordan working with many international brands.

In 2018 our Singapore team relocated to new and larger premises following a series of project wins and we have now established a studio in Amsterdam that focusses on the data, science and technology sectors.

The collaboration with Crown Architecture in New York - Scott Brownrigg + Crown serves the New York and wider US market, concentrating on residential and commercial developments. The team recently relocated to larger premises.

Horizontal growth continues with investment into new sectors and services. Within the UK we acquired Acanthus Architects LW in late 2018 and now have a dedicated global rail and infrastructure team to enhance our existing aviation expertise.

We also appointed a global Masterplan and Urbanism team to complement our existing masterplanning skills.

As always, the development of our staff is fundamental to our growth as a practice. Through our leadership in the new development of the new Architectural Apprenticeship Level 7 standard, our continued support for the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust [now known as Blueprint For All] and the London School of Architecture, together with our support for the AR Women in Architecture Programme we are helping to ensure there is access for all into the profession.

Alongside Practice of the Year shortlist, we have also been shortlisted for Employer of the Year Award, and our premium executive architectural service, Design Delivery Unit, has been shortlisted for Executive Architect of the Year.

The winners of these award categories will be announced at the AJ100 gala dinner at the Tower of London on 19th June 2019.
