Scott Brownrigg has signed up to More than a Building, part of the UK’s leading architectural NGO, Article 25.

Article 25 is a non-profit charity that improves access to healthcare, education and shelter across the Global South. Deploying its professional skills as architects and project managers to design and build high-quality hospitals, schools and homes in the places that most need them. More Than a Building is a network of like-minded professionals committed to constructing better futures in the Global South.  Through a shared passion for better buildings and by showing their support, members are helping Article 25 to undertake such valuable projects.

Our latest support for Article 25 builds upon previous collaborations from 2011 to 2015. During this time, we helped with the design of one of their first school projects in Burkino Faso, we went on to raise vital funds for them through various charity fundraising activities, as well as hosted and sponsored public exhibitions to create awareness of their work.

As part of More Than a Building, we have the opportunity to connect with other companies across the construction industry at networking events, there are also quarterly NextGen events that staff can get involved in to learn and network with peers from all disciplines across the built environments.  And for those inspired to make a difference, Article 25 offer secondments opportunities to work on impactful international projects.  We are also hoping that there will be a number of projects that we can get involved in through a variety of ways in the future. So watch this space.

“Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of themselves and of their family” Article 25

“Having been one of the early supporters of Article 25 nearly 15 years ago, we have followed the valuable project work they have carried out over the subsequent years with interest. Joining this network of companies that share the same passion for creating buildings that make a difference across the globe aligns entirely with our Vision.”

The name Article 25 is taken from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
