Our Sea Breeze masterplan in Baku has been featured in 'Connected Capital: London and the World’s Built Environment', NLA’s new research report launched at MIPIM, which highlights the global reach of the UK’s built environment sector.

The report highlights the international strength of the industry, which exports £168 billion of goods and services each year - around one fifth of all UK exports - and London’s role as a global hub for city-making expertise, connecting talent, capital, and knowledge to projects around the world.

Sea Breeze is a clear example of that international reach.

Our London team is transforming 26 kilometres of the Caspian coastline near Baku into a vibrant new residential, cultural, and commercial destination. When complete, the development will form a new mixed-use city designed to position Azerbaijan as a sustainable global destination.

We’ve designed the masterplan to connect communities with the Baku locale, creating a diverse and healthy environment that can evolve over time. Walkable neighbourhoods, active public spaces, and a strong relationship with the coastline support everyday life while encouraging tourism, culture, and economic opportunity.

Projects like Sea Breeze reflect a wider trend identified in the report: London has become a proving ground for urban innovation, with expertise developed in the city now applied to complex projects worldwide.
